What We Do

We assist boutique wineries in realizing this balance of distributed and direct sales, though a comprehensive strategy of focused marketing, sales, and media relations work. Our approach is specifically designed for premium producers who are interested in maximizing their direct to consumer sales potential while building a base of distribution among opinion leader sommeliers and key retailers.

Acme understands that the explosion of new wineries combined with the consolidation within the US channels of distribution, has challenged boutique wineries in their attempt to control their national positioning and image. Distributors once viewed as partners to these wineries are increasingly enslaved by the wine companies that have driven this consolidation. The result is a landscape of distributors who offer premium wineries only a vehicle for local fulfillment, and give little attention to the task of building the brand through strategic positioning.

We recognize that the barriers to entry imposed by state governments prevent wineries from reaching out directly to consumers and trade forcing them to conform to the existing system of distribution, but as the industry continues to evolve and change so has Acme. We remain committed to fostering old world hospitality while harnessing emerging technologies including social networking and web based PR in order to build strong relationships and financially viable, healthy wineries.
